Quiénes somos:
Centro de Baile Jerez (C.B.J.) es una Academia dirigida a toda persona que desee aprender y desarrollar sus conocimientos de baile flamenco, llegando incluso hasta los niveles más altos en sus diversas disciplinas. Sabemos que cada estudiante es único y respetamos la diversidad, por lo que trabajamos para desarrollar y potenciar todas sus cualidades y talentos únicos. Todo nuestro equipo trabaja de manera conjunta para ayudar a los estudiantes a convertirse en los artistas que demanda la industria del baile flamenco mundialmente: artistas capaces, con habilidades técnicas, formación y seguridad
Un estudiante con un alto nivel técnico en una amplia gama de disciplinas tendrá una considerable ventaja profesional sobre sus compañeros, contando con muchas más posibilidades en el difícil y competitivo mundo de la danza. Los conocimientos adquiridos y su esfuerzo y habilidad le permitirán dedicar su vida a lo que más le apasiona; el flamenco. Y le dará la oportunidad de viajar por todo el mundo mostrando su arte a diversos públicos. Una oportunidad de un valor incalculable.
Nuevo curso: Experto/Máster en Baile Flamenco.
Duración: Un año escolar (Octubre a Junio).
A quién dirigimos este curso de formación profesional:
- Todas aquellas personas que desean ampliar sus conocimientos del flamenco. Aquellos/as bailaores/as con que ya hayan terminado el nivel profesional o superior del conservatorio, o los/as bailaores/as que son semi-profesionales (sin titulación) pero necesitan un curso puente para entrar en el mundo laboral de flamenco.
- Trabajo en equipo bailando en nuestra compañía de formación con opción a actuar en Festivales folclóricos, teatros y tablaos. Ya tenemos acuerdos con varios tablaos y festivales.
- Aquellas personas que desean estudiar baile español de una forma seria sin perder en ningún momento su entrenamiento en ballet clásico. (Opcional)
- El bailaor/a profesional que desea profundizar en un curso dedicado a la metodología del flamenco y cualificarse profesionalmente para impartir una programación de exámenes y sistema pedagógico para dedicarse a la docencia. A los/las que buscan conseguir una certificación reconocida por la “Royal Academy of Dance” (Ballet) o la “Sociedad de Baile Español” (Danza Española), o EFA (Escuela Flamenca de Andalucía). Los exámenes son opcionales en este curso.
Este curso consiste en 6 horas diarias de clases dirigidas
Horario: Lunes a Viernes. 9:00 – 15:00
- Técnica pura del baile flamenco: Solo con una técnica depurada podrá llegar a mejorase a los niveles exigidos hoy en día
- Técnica de los elementos adicionales: Bata de cola, mantón, abanico, castañuelas.
- Coreografías: Cada trimestre trabajaremos tres coreografías completas. (Tres palos de flamenco)
- Preparación de los exámenes de EFA “Escuela Flamenca de Andalucia”
- Cante: clases de cante flamenco para entender su estructura, formas y orígenes.
- Percusión: Percusión flamenca para mejorar y entender los patrones rítmicos de los palos. Desarrollar el sentido rítmico y musicalidad de cada estudiante.
- Tablao: Clases para desarrollar la creatividad de cada estudiante. Darles confianza para bailar y comunicar con un cuadro flamenco, guitarra, cante y percusión. Habrá oportunidades cuando estén preparados para bailar en este contexto en un tablao.
- Ballet clásico: Para mejorar la colocación corporal del bailaor. Trabajar fuerza y musculatura para conseguir más control. Ayuda en la fluidez, control y coordinación del torso y brazos.
- Escuela Bolera: Aunque uno prefiera especializarse en flamenco, debe tener nociones básicas de este estilo para entrar en el mundo profesional.
- Estilizada: Aunque uno prefiera especializarse en flamenco debe tener nociones básicas de este estilo para entrar en el mundo profesional. Se trabaja mucho la coordinación del movimiento con castañuelas.
- Opcional: Por las tardes es opcional entrar en formaciones de los exámenes de ballet por la Royal Academy of Dance o de Danza Española por la Sociedad Internacional de Danza Española.
- Trabajos teóricos: Para estudiar la historia del flamenco, coreografías, bailarines de importancia, estructura de los palos flamenco, etc.

TALLERES INTENSIVOS INCLUIDOS: Adela Campallo, María Juncal, Marco Flores. Organizamos un mínimo de tres seminarios intensivos con maestros/artistas invitados.

Primer trimestre: 2 de octubre a 22 de diciembre
Segundo trimestre: 8 de enero al 22 de marzo
Tercer trimestre: 1 de abril al 30 de junio
Pruebas de Acceso:

2. Enviar Video antes del 15 de julio 2023. Debe incluir:
Un una letra y una escobilla a elegir entre Alegrías, Bulerías por Soleá o Soleá (Tiempos de 12). Una letra y un corta escobilla por Tientos o Tarantos. Un ejercicio con combinaciones de vueltas.
3. Pruebas de acceso presenciales: 19 de julio de 10:00 – 13:00 Consta de una clase de tecnica de flamenco. Cada uno debe traer una coreografia preparada a elegir entre Alegráas, Soleá o Tientos.
4. Premiamos con 3 becas a estudio para estudiantes con talento excepcional. (No incluye estancia solo asistencia a las clases)

Acomodación:
Ayudamos a nuestros/as estudiantes a encontrar alojamiento. Para acomodación de estudiantes los precios varían entre 150€ mensuales para pisos compartidos o aproximadamente 450€ para apartamentos individuales.

New course: Expert/Master in Flamenco Dance.
Course length: 1 school year —October to June.
This professional training course is designed for:
- Dancers that wish to expand their knowledge of flamenco. It is ideal for those bailaores who have already finished the professional or higher degree from the conservatory, or those bailaores who are semi-professionals (without a degree) but need a bridge course to enter the flamenco profession.
- Learning to dance as part of a team in our training company, with the chance to perform in folkloric festivals, theatres, and tablaos. We already have agreements in place with several tablaos and festivals.
- Those people who wish to study Spanish dance in a serious way, whilst maintaining their level in classical ballet (optional).
- The professional dancer who wishes to delve into a course dedicated to flamenco methodology and qualify professionally to teach a system of exams in a teaching job. We provide the opportunity to obtain a teaching diploma recognized by the “Royal Academy of dance” (ballet), the “Sociedad de Baile Española” (Spanish Dance), or “EFA” (Flamenco School of Andalusia). Exams are optional in this course.
This course consists of 6 hours of daily classes (Monday to Friday, 9am–3pm).
- Pure flamenco dance technique, refining your skills to reach the levels required by today’s choreographers and companies.
- Study of the technique of fundamental accessories: bata de cola, shawl, fan, castanets.
- Each term we will work on three complete choreographies of differing “palos” (styles).
- Preparation for the EFA exams “Escuela Flamenca de Andalucia”.
- Flamenco singing classes, to understand its structure, forms and origins.
- Flamenco percussion, to improve and understand the rhythmic patterns of the styles, and to further develop the rhythmic sense and musicality of each student.
- Tablao: Classes to develop the creativity of each student. The aim is for the student to receive the tools, and gain the confidence to choreograph (or improvise), and interact with a flamenco group, guitar, singing and percussion. When we feel the student is ready, there will be the opportunity to dance their choreography within this context in a tablao.
- Classical ballet: To improve the posture and alignment of the dancer. The aim is to achieve corporal control by strengthening the muscles. Ballet is invaluable to improve the fluidity and coordination of the torso and arms.
- Escuela Bolera: Although one would prefer to specialize in flamenco, one must have at least basic knowledge of this style to enter the professional world.
- Estilizada: Although one would prefer to specialize in flamenco, one must have at least basic knowledge of this style to enter the professional world. Here there will be much emphasis on the coordination of movement with castanets.
- It is possible to partake in the examination systems of the ballet exams by the Royal Academy of Dance, or Spanish Dance “International Society of Spanish Dance, by attending the evening classes.
- Theoretical works to study the history of flamenco: choreography, important dancers, the structure of flamenco styles, etc.

3. Face-to-face entrance exams: 19TH of July 2023 de 10:00 – 13:00 This will consist of a general flamenco class. Each student must bring prepared one flamenco choreography to choose between Alegrias , Tientos or Solea.
Each year, three study scholarships are awarded to students with exceptional talent. Please note, the scholarships are for tuition only, and do not include accommodation, costs of equipment, or exam fees.

5800€ for the complete course including three intensive workshops with star guest teachers invited.
Accommodation:
Students flats usually cost approximately 150€ if shared per month or 400€ for individual apartments. Bills of electricity and water are extra. We will help our students to find appropriate accommodation.
